The Support Orlando Shelter Campaign is made up of various leaders in the Community who have a lot or a little capacity to give to the overall mission of the coalition. This means, we have committee’s broken up based on levels of commitment. Anyone can participate in all actions and events. We just want to match you to the right level of commitment to ensure you feel your capacity can fit within each sub-committee.

Uncommitted – White Level

Capacity: No commitment. Just want to attend whenever possible to listen in, provide some feedback and learn from the group.

Task Examples: Watching out for social media posts and listening on the calls to learn about the goals of the group.

Light Commitment – Green Level

Capacity: 1-3 Hours a week- Light hourly commitment, delegated individual actions in between meetings. Can possibly attend a meeting at your leisure but do not want to be relied upon to do a task consistently.

Task Examples: Can email elected officials or show up to speak at a Board of County or City Commission meeting to be mobilized for a singular action.

Medium Commitment – Orange Level

Capacity: 3-6 Hours a week of commitment. Interested in attending most meetings and being able to implement tasks that are assigned to the group.

Task Examples: Drafting op-eds, doing research on homelessness policy solutions, sharing upcoming events on social media or passing out flyers etc.

High Commitment – Red: Leadership Level

Capacity: 6+ hours a week to give to leading the group. This is the team who will drive the advocacy, confirming speakers, following up with volunteers and making the time to implement the actions that come from the meetings.

Task Examples: Texting members to remind them of actions or meetings coming up, securing guest speakers for events, posting on social media, cutting videos together of the meetings etc.
